Random Thoughts 7/28/10

Was bored the other night--nothing on TV worth watching so I was flipping through the myriad of channels and came across something called People's Palace on KET. I hit 'Info' and found it was a documentary on the New York Public Library. Well it piqued my mind since I once worked there, though not at the Fifth Avenue building. I worked at the Donnell Library Center Film Library. So I hit the channel and watched.

Fascinating history.

Tonight I'm watching In Performance at the White House. PBS is a really good thing. What a shame it is so under funded. And under supported. I guess I should join.

Anyway, sometimes when I'm sitting here watching TV or whatever, I get some pretty interesting ideas, at least they are to me, so I thought I'd start a blog. It will just be my random thoughts about whatever I happen to be thinking at that particular time.

Jesus, even Jerry Seinfield is there. Well that was pretty nice and by golly, if it hadn't been for PBS I wouldn't have. I'd have only heard the right-wing carping about the president attending a concert while the oil leaked in the Gulf. Paul McCartney was awarded the Library of Congress' George Gershwin Award.

And those are my random thoughts for this day in history. How shallow we are.
